Sealy Design Inc. has a position available for a full time Draftsperson. The ideal candidate is an experienced draftsperson with great interpersonal skills who can work to tight deadlines.

Duties:

• Produce full set of drawings for building permits based on sketches provided by Interior Designers
• Site measurements
• Produce scaled plans based on site measurements
• Manage permit process from start to completion
• Manage and create AUTOCAD library
• Other duties as assigned

Computer/technical skills:

• Valid BCIN mandatory (house or small buildings)
• AUTOCAD 2009
• Microsoft Office Suite

Education/experience:

• Graduate of accredited post secondary program
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience
• Knowledge of Ontario building code and local zoning bylaws
• Familiar with residential construction methods
• Familiar with interior millwork construction and details
• Organized and detail oriented

We have an opportunity on our Toronto production team for an Intermediate Technologist who brings experience working on projects in a Revit environment and has a solid understanding of current building systems, materials, and building codes. Using your Revit skills, you will work with a global team to produce working drawings and virtual 3D models of architectural designs for innovative multi-disciplinary complex projects.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable interacting and communicating with a range of people; it could be project managers and contractors one day, clients and consultants the next. While drawing production is the focus of this role, you will also have a hand in applying for building permits, site planning, researching materials, and assisting with contract administration.
